Expression of silence
Mehrub Rahman
Silence has its own power
to go beyond infinity.
Only a few are lucky
to absorb the creative existence
of tranquility.
Its a melodic and an aesthetic pause;
May create a suspicion on creations
running through an obnoxious
Could it be a piece of prolonged provocative poetry?
The infinite silence, the death may be an endless pause
or absence of self from a prescribed universe.
The above verses are may be the extracts of broken thoughts
of miracle mind of a cancerous dying locomotive engine,
distorted, degenerated or and of nothing.

its truth that silence has its own omnipotence. Only a few lucky people can experience and create an aesthetic effusion. Very nicely narrated.
ReplyDeleteMehrub Rahman's expression of silence reminds me of the famous description of life's end " life is a tale told by an idiot , with all it's sound and fury signifying nothing" or even all the road's of glory lead but to the grave". To me total silence is closer to nothingness. Of Course in this poem the poet also ends with nothing. Interesting to note that ambiguity can be absurd and obnoxious. Although to the human mind there is nothing beyond and after infinity, the poets thoughts appear to go beyond it, to him silence goes beyond infinity. But definitely it is only silence that is tranquil and aesthetic. But the poem certainly rings so many bells to my mind about silence in a noisy world . But a truly aesthetic poem indeed.

ReplyDeleteTranquil , melodic and esthetic pauses are perhaps comfortable shells poets desire to be in and also from where, though ambiguous there they are most creative.The narration about silence , it's power, it's melody though enigmatic and equivocal, is powerfully and wonderfully done by poet Mehrub Rahman.

ReplyDeleteআমি মনে করি তাঁদের মেধা ও মনন কিংবা চিন্তার আকাশ আমার চেয়েও অনেক বিস্তৃত।
মনে হয়েছে যে এক একটি মন্তব্য একটি নুতন কবিতার জন্ম দিয়েছে । আর সেখানেই এই কবিতার সার্থকতা।
