1) অতি দ্রুত বুঝতে চেষ্টা করো না, কারণ তাতে অনেক ভুল থেকে যায় -এডওয়ার্ড হল । 2) অবসর জীবন এবং অলসতাময় জীবন দুটো পৃথক জিনিস – বেনজামিন ফ্রাঙ্কলিন । 3) অভাব অভিযোগ এমন একটি সমস্যা যা অন্যের কাছে না বলাই ভালো – পিথাগোরাস । 4) আমাকে একটি শিক্ষিত মা দাও , আমি তোমাকে শিক্ষিত জাতি দেব- নেপোলিয়ন বোনাপার্ট । 5) আমরা জীবন থেকে শিক্ষা গ্রহন করি না বলে আমাদের শিক্ষা পরিপূর্ণ হয় না – শিলার । 6) উপার্জনের চেয়ে বিতরণের মাঝেই বেশী সুখ নিহিত – ষ্টিনা। 7) একজন ঘুমন্ত ব্যাক্তি আরেকজন ঘুমন্ত ব্যাক্তি কে জাগ্রত করতে পারে না- শেখ সাদী । 8) একজন দরিদ্র লোক যত বেশী নিশ্চিত , একজন রাজা তত বেশী উদ্বিগ্ন – জন মেরিটন। 9) একজন মহান ব্যাক্তির মতত্ব বোঝা যায় ছোট ব্যাক্তিদের সাথে তার ব্যবহার দেখে – কার্লাইন । 10) একজন মহিলা সুন্দর হওয়ার চেয়ে চরিত্রবান হওয়া বেশী প্রয়োজন – লং ফেলো। 11) কাজকে ভালবাসলে কাজের মধ্যে আনন্দ পাওয়া যায় – আলফ্রেড মার্শা

    LIGHT AND DARKNESS

     Dhruba  Jyoti

    I see light and I see the dark
    I see good and I see the bad
    I touch my face and I feel a tear
    I laugh at life when no one is near
    I love peace but am left at war


    I cry at night and smile by day
    I dream of life but am nearer to death
    I can figure what grief can do
    I say good day, but wished it never came
    I hoped for calm but find myself in the storm

    I want more light than darkness brings
    I find my book has more empty pages
    I see children in the street, so innocent and so sweet
    But fear what the world will throw at them
    And that day I will not be around

      The topic of the poem." LIGHT AND DARKNESS” is very catching and enchanting. in this poem, our Life has been described. We ponder and trust "I see children in the street, so innocent and so sweet But fear what the world will throw at them And that day I will not be around ". But only a poet can have emerged. We have always get rhythmic, purified, equitable , sanctified, correct words, strong content and powerful potent and strong messages in poet his poetry.
